Program Overview


Diploma in Co-operative Management is a long-term course originated from the Cooperative Institute of Malaysia (CIM) which was introduced from year 1991 till July 2015, IKM had passed on the program to be handled by his subsidiary, iCOOP. This program is a golden opportunity to leader, member and staff of cooperative where this program enables people who wishes to acquire knowledge and gain higher position in their cooperatives. It has been an opportunity for SPM graduates who aims for tertiary education in the cooperative sector.

Diploma in Co-operative Management program implementation main objective is to produce more diploma graduate that are high in quality so that it would enable more co-operatives to be equipped with a management workforce that is trained, competent, efficient and capable as written in Malaysia Co-operative Policy namely in Strategic Basis III, create and enhance co-operative human capital capacity development.

Program Objectives

  • To stabilize comprehension on co-operative in terms of concept, philosophy, principle and legislation
  • To complete student with techniques and co-operative management skill especially in terms of formation and business strategies implementation by basing on principles and co-operative legislation.
  • To enable students, enhance analytical skills and decide in planning and organisational management.

Entry Requirements

  • Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) with at least 3 credits in any subject OR
  • Any other equivalent qualification recognised by the Government of Malaysia.
